- 16 oz plain yogurt
- ¼ c lime juice
- 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped or pressed
- 2 t salt
- ¼ t ground turmeric
- ½ t ground coriander
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1 ½ t ground ginger
- 1/8 t cayenne pepper
- 1 t mustard powder
- 2 t tomato paste
- 3 whole chicken breasts, split
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 large green pepper, finely chopped
In large bowl, combine yogurt, coriander, lime juice, cumin, garlic, ginger, salt, cayenne pepper, turmeric. Stir to mix.
Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover mixture and chicken with peppers and onions. Cover. Chill overnight (or longer).
Remove chicken from marinade and broil until done. Baste with marinade throughout cooking.
