Deb's BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

  • Neely's Seasoning
  • ½ c paprika
  • ¼ c white sugar
  • 1 t onion powder
  • BBQ Sauce
  • 4 c ketchup
  • 2 c water
  • ¾ c brown sugar
  • ¾ c white sugar
  • 1 T black pepper
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1 T ground mustard
  • ¼ c Neely's Seasoning
  • ¼ c lemon juice
  • ¼ c Worcestershire
  • 1 c apple-cider vinegar
  • ¼ c corn syrup
  • 3 to 4 pounds Spare ribs

Instructions

Combine sauce ingredients in stock pot, cook on high until it boils, stir to prevent sticking.

Lower temperature and simmer for at least 30 minutes.

Rub ribs with Neely's Seasoning and refrigerate for 4 to 12 hours.

I cook my ribs for 5-6 hours in oven at 250 degrees (I use a broiler pan and put water in the bottom pan and cover with foil.)

After the ribs are tender, we put them on the grill, baste with sauce, turn baste, turn baste for just long enough to caramelize the sauce and not burn it.

Remove from grill, serve with extra sauce and eat!
