Coconut Granola Bars

Ingredients

  • ¾ c brown sugar
  • ⅔ c peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • ½ c honey
  • ½ butter (or margarine)
  • 2 T vanilla
  • 3 c rolled oats
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • ½ c flaked coconut
  • ½ c sunflower seeds (optional)
  • ⅓ c wheat germ
  • 2 t sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

Combine sugar, peanut butter honey, butter & vanilla. Mix to a creamy consistency.

Add remaining ingredients and stir to coat.

Press into a greased cookie sheet (with edges) or a cake pan.

Bake at 350 until golden brown (approx. 30 minutes). Don't overbake or they will be too hard!
