Mandarin Beef
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or boneless round
- 1 T vegetable oil
- 2 T cornstarch
- 1 t salt
- 1 t soy sauce
- ½ t sugar
- ¼ t white pepper
- 2 green onions w/ tops
- 1 green pepper
- 1 t ginger, finely chopped
- 1 t garlic, finely chopped
- ¾ c carrot, shredded
- 2 t chili paste
- 1 t dark soy sauce
Instructions
Trim fat from beef; shred beef. Toss beef, oil, cornstarch, salt, soy, sugar and white pepper in bowl. Cover and refrigerate 30 mins.
Cut onions and pepper into ⅛" strips.
Stir fry beef, ginger and garlic until beef is brown, approx. 3 mins. Add pepper, carrot and chili paste. Stir fry 1 min. Add onion and soy. Stir fry 30 secs.
