Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef, cut into strips
  • 1 red pepper, cut into thick slices
  • 1 green pepper, cut into thick slices
  • 1 white onion, cut into thick slices
  • ¼ c beef broth
  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • 1 t minced ginger
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • ¼ t black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 t brown sugar
  • 1 T arrowroot
  • 1 T water

Instructions

Brown the beef.

Add all of the other ingredients except the arrowroot and water to the beef in a crockpot.

Cook on low for 6 - 8 hours.

Thicken by adding the arrowroot mixed in the water and stir.
